ARENA in Iran

It's a pleasure to announce that Arena was selected by the 28th Fajr International Film Festival - جشنواره بین المللی فیلم فجر - running in Tehran, from the 25th January until the 4th February 2010.

The Fajr International Film Festival is Iran's annual film festival, held every February in the Iranian capital city.

The festival, started in 1982, is under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture in Iran. It takes place every year on the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution.

ARENA in Rotterdam

We're delighted to announce that Arena was selected to participate in the 39th International Film Festival Rotterdam, running 27 January - 7 February 2010.

During twelve festival days, hundreds of filmmakers and other artists present their work to a large and devoted audience in 24 screening venues located within central Rotterdam. Up to 3,000 press and film industry representatives visit the festival to report and catch the buzz on its premiere.

Arena is described by the festival as a "superior, superbly shot, unemphatic drama" and it will be part of the section Spectrum Shorts.

ARENA in Angers

We are very happy to announce that Arena was selected to be part of the Official Selection of the 22nd Premiers Plans - Angers European First Film Festival.

Since 1989, 80 young directors come to Angers presenting their films to the audience. Last year 69.000 people attended the festival. Some of the most important European directors screened their first films in past editions of the festival, such as Fatih Akin, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Arnaud Desplechin, Xavier Beauvois, Nick Park, Cristi Puiu and Thomas Vinterberg.

Premiers Plans is one of the most important film festivals in Europe, spotlighting new filmmakers with screenings of first European films, presented in 5 competitive sections.

Arena is part of the official European Short Films Competition, together with 7 other short features.

Arena will be screened the 28th January 19h15 at the Congres Auditorium
and also the 29th January 14h30 at the cinema Variétés A1.

ARENA in Czech Republic

Arena will be part of the Panorama Section of the 5th Prague Short Film Festival.

The Prague Short Film Festival, organized by the producers of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, will take place on January, 20-24, 2010 in Prague’s Světozor cinema. As in the previous years, this year’s three competition and nine non-competition sections will present the best short films created over the last year by talented young filmmakers from all over the globe.

Arena will be screened the 24th January 15h00 in the Big Hall of the Světozor Cinema.
